Will your AI feature pay for itself?

Most teams work out the cost after they have built it. Put your numbers in and find out now, before an engineer spends a month on it. Takes about a minute.

Your numbers

Rough numbers are fine. You are checking whether you are near the line, not being exact.

The usual right answer for production features. Near-frontier quality at a fraction of the cost.

The full answer

It pays for itself. See how much room you actually have.

  • The point at which this stops paying for itself
  • What it costs if people use it 2x, 5x or 10x more than you think
  • The same feature priced on every model, cheapest first
  • What to change, in the order worth changing it

One limit worth stating

This models the inference bill and nothing else. It does not price the engineering time to build the feature, the work of handling the cases where the model is wrong, or the support load that arrives when a user gets a confident wrong answer. On conversational features that last cost is often larger than the tokens. So a feature that passes here has cleared one hurdle rather than all of them, and the honest next step is the one that names what else it would cost. That is what the Identify step is for.
